Food and Ale Trail 2026
Join us on Saturday 30th May from 9:00am
To help raise money for the Friends of Cleobury Mortimer Sports Centre why not join us for a leisurely walk of around 10 miles in beautiful countryside with local food stops and Hobson’s Ale. Walk finishes at The Tap Room, Hobson’s Brewery for entertainment.What Your £30 ticket includes:
The 10 mile walk, with 3 food stops. Hobson's beer and soft drinks will be available at each stop.At registration there will be a Hobson’s mug and Hobson’s lanyard.
Your ticket will have a start time, please try and arrive at this time so we can get people off in staggered groups.
1. Breakfast Stop – 10am-12noon:
Approximately 1 hours walk
Breakfast of bacon roll, cuppa or a beer (a vegetarian option is available if requested)
2. Lunch Stop – 12noon- 4pm
Approximately 2 hours walk
Lunch of chicken curry, rice, naan bread and a beer (vegetarian option is available if requested)
3. Afternoon Tea Stop – 1pm-5pm
Approximately 1 hours walk
Afternoon tea, cakes and a beer!
4. Finish Line - 3pm-10pm
Approximately 1 hours walk
Hobson’s Brewery where you will receive your Finishers Medal, there’ll be an opportunity to have some photo’s taken and the Tap Room will be open for walkers to buy more beers! The Tap Room will be open till 10pm and there will be food and entertainment put on but the food at Hobon's is not included in the ticket price.
Key Points to be aware of:
- This is a SELF GUIDED WALK and you are entirely responsible for your own safety and that of others with you, including dogs, throughout this route.
- Marshalls will help you at various points along the way.
- Dogs are allowed on the walk, but they must be kept on a lead and under control, There are livestock in many of the fields along the way. The majority of styles are dog friendly.
- All the tracks and paths are on Public Footpaths and the national footpath signs are visible along the way, and our FAT signs are in place periodically.
- Please where suitable footwear, the walk is a real country walk. There are stiles, muddy slope, uneven ground and in wooded areas, fallen branches and other trip hazards. Take care and watch your step.
- The weather cannot be guaranteed so please dress for all eventualities and bring water with you!
- First Aid equipment is available for your use at each food venue.
