Living and enjoying life within Cleobury Country

A frequent enquiry at the Cleobury Country Centre, is ‘What is happening in the community regarding groups and recreational activities?  There is so much happening, whether you want to amble, walk, cycle, ride, play golf or get fit in most sports, opportunities abound for all tastes and ages here.

You can also take part in drama, music, dance, or be creative. Here we have some of the groups and societies operating in the Cleobury Country area.

Main details

The Cleobury Mortimer Bellringers ring in the tower of St Mary’s Church. We ring on Sunday mornings from 0925 to 0955 for the 1000 service, and practise on Tuesday evenings from 1900 to 2030 except during August. We also ring for weddings and for significant national and local events. We are always pleased to welcome visiting ringers. On Tuesday night the gate to the church is sometimes locked, so it would be prudent for potential visitors to contact Chris or Clare so that the gate can be unlocked. New recruits are always needed, and Chris or Clare would be pleased to hear from anyone who would like to learn.  Our ringers are members of the Bridgnorth District of the Hereford Diocesan Guild of Bellringers, and the Guild is affiliated to the Central Council of Church Bell Ringers.
